In November 2004, Oklahoma residents approved a State-Tribal Gaming Act via referendum. This measure enacted a model tribal gaming compact, allowing tribes to use new gaming machines and card games.
Based on this model compact, 33 tribes have negotiated state-tribal compacts with Oklahoma. Many tribal casinos prefer to offer Class II competition-style electronic games rather than Class III Vegas-style slot machines.

The wife and I took trip to Choctaw Casino in Durant, Oklahoma on Friday 1-7-11. We met my friend Hal up there. First thing we did was go eat at the buffet. On Fridays, Choctaw has all you can eat snow crab legs for $20.99. Present you players club card and they knock $6 off of the price!
Choctaw Slot Videos
After gorging ourselves at the buffet, we hit the casino floor to play the slots. My wife was playing a Zeus Slots machine. Hal and I headed out on our own to do a little slot machine hopping. We both struck out on Gems and Jewels and Crazy Bill’s Gold Strike. Then we tried Star Spangled Sevens Slots and I hit $240 while Hal won somewhere around $200 as well.
Hal then wanted to go into the high limit area in the new part of the casino to play this Elvis King of Coin slot that they had just put in. When we got to it, there was some guy sitting in the chair and looked like he was not leaving soon. We left thru the other side of the high limit are and found an $1 Elvis King of Coin Slot right outside the entrance. We played for a little while and then Hal hit this:
A $630 win! Me? I managed to break even on my machine. We went back into the high limit area and the $2 Elvis machine was available. Hal sat down and tried to hit the big win. He rec’d a bunch of red screen spins, but no big winner. Eventually, ended up losing $300. We then tried Hot Red Ruby and Lucky Ducky. No luck with either one.
I then went back to check on my wife. She had switched to a Hearts of Venice slot machine. Right we I walked up she hit this:
A $512.50 win! We then cashed out and made the drive back to Dallas. Already looking forward to next Friday.
